JENNIFER GILBERT is the weekday anchor of FOX45 News at 5:30, The News at Ten, and 11 pm Late Edition.
Jennifer is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism She has won two Capital Region Emmy Awards, one for her report "Divine Healer", which told the stories of hope surrounding a statue of Jesus Christ at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has won numerous awards from the Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists.
Jennifer works out with a personal trainer on a regular basis, but enjoys just as much the simplest ways to stay in shape, including walking, playing tennis, and chasing after her two year old son!
JEFF BARND helped launch FOX 45 News at Ten in June 1991! He is the weekday anchor of FOX45 News at 5:30, The News at Ten, and 11 pm Late Edition.
An eight-time Emmy Award winner, Jeff has a won numerous Associated Press awards and statewide honors in Maine, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Maryland.
Throughout his career at FOX 45, Jeff Barnd has covered stories from around the world. He has always considered Baltimore his adopted home. Jeff and his wife Susie met in Baltimore and now reside in Harford County with their two daughters.
Jeff's hobbies include drumming, reading, biking and oil painting.
PATRICE HARRIS is the anchor for Fox45 Morning News.
In 2009, Patrice received an AP Award for a series tackling the problem of childhood obesity. In 2008, she received an AP Award for a behind the scenes look at the trainer responsible for Baltimore Raven Ray Lewis’ grueling workout routine.
Patrice is a native Marylander, a Towson University graduate, and is very active in the community dedicating much of her time to being a mentor for journalism students.
Patrice is passionate about her work with children and giving them a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy fitness and nutrition habits. She is a certified Fitness Instructor and Children’s Fitness Specialist. She volunteers in city schools to provide fitness camps for students. Patrice also serves as the President of Monte Sanders Fit Families, Inc. The non-profit is aimed at eliminating childhood obesity.
VYTAS REID is the Chief Meteorologist for the award winning FOX45 News at 5:30, 10, and 11 pm newscasts.
Vytas holds a degree in Broadcast Communications from Indiana University and a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Vytas has also been awarded the seal of approval from the American Meteorological
Society.
Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Vytas, his wife and two children now call Maryland home. He enjoys music of all kinds, cultural events, and traveling. He is an active supporter of the South Baltimore Learning Center and makes many presentations to area schools and youth centers.
STEVE FERTIG is a meteorologist of FOX45 Morning News.
A native of Long Island, NY, Steve’s a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. After graduating from Syracuse University, he enrolled at New York Chiropractic College and practiced chiropractic for 11 years.
Steve went back to school, combining his interest in the sciences and broadcasting at the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University and graduated in 1996.
Steve Fertig has a passion for health and an appreciation for the innate healing ability of the human body. Before receiving requests to "adjust the weather", he adjusted the spines of patients as a chiropractor. Steve works out at a gym regularly and is a big believer in DNA-based nutritional supplements.
CANDACE DOLD is the traffic and entertainment reporter for FOX45 News.
Before arriving at FOX45, she traveled across the country competing in beauty pageants. Her experiences with pageants sparked Candace's interest in Broadcasting. She started pursuing her career while interning with NFL Films. After living and breathing the game for a few months, she became an avid football fan. During her days as a student at the University of Maryland, Candace sported the red and black as a Terps Cheerleader for the football and basketball teams.
Candace has always lived by the motto that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Candace and her husband are expecting their first child and she continues to follow a wholesome nutrition plan and exercises regularly. Candace walks and practices prenatal yoga. She realizes her energy needs to remain at the highest level possible because she will soon be juggling a career and keeping up with a new baby girl.
MEGAN GILLILAND is a FOX45 News reporter and co-anchor for the 8AM Morning News hour.
Megan is a proud Penn State graduate majoring in broadcast journalism and minoring in communications, arts and sciences. While in Happy Valley, she ran track and cross county for the Lady Lions, and was captain of the team her senior year.
While her competitive days are over, she still loves to run and play sports and is planning to run her first marathon here in Baltimore this October.
As a Pittsburgh native, she's excited to live near water for the first time in her life, explore the city, eat good seafood and meet the people of Baltimore.
BRUCE CUNNINGHAM is the weekday sports anchor for FOX 45and has been with the News at Ten since its inception in June 1991. He is also the co-host of "Sports Unlimited" which airs every Sunday at 10:30pm on FOX 45.
Bruce has been the PA announcer for the Ravens since 1999 and is the PA announcer for Towson University football. He is also heard daily 1-3pm on 105.7 The Fan.
His reporting has been honored by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association, The Associated Pres, The Society of Professional Journalists, Baltimore Magazine and Baltimore Touchdown Club Bruce is a champion for children with muscular dystrophy and has been a long-host of the Jerry Lewis Telethon
KAREN PARKS is a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor for FOX45.
Karen's first career was not journalism. She graduated from Spelman College with a BA in English. She was granted a full scholarship to receive a dual Masters in reading and early childhood education. For six years, she taught kindergarten and first grade in Fulton County, Georgia and Montgomery County, Maryland.
Karen is a member of the National Association for Black Journalists and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc….and is active in our local community.
